Down a lane with grass growing in the middle, and with wild flowers in the hedgebanks in early summer, Garn-y-Mul, Croesgoch is a wonderfully peaceful well modernised stone cottage, situated above a tiny stream and bushes which are full of a splendid variety of birds. Bird song abounds as does wild life of all sorts. The nearest neighbouring cottage is 400yds down the road.

Garn-y-Mul is ideally situated for easy access to the many lovely beaches surrounding the St David’s peninsula and is perfect for cyclists, with few steep hills. The unique cathedral city of St David’s is 6 miles distant and exciting wildlife boat trips can be booked here- to Ramsey, to see choughs, deer and peregrine, or around, to view the seals and amazing bird breeding colonies.

The historic Bishop’s Palace is fun to explore and the whole area abounds with standing stones and other fascinating relics of bygone ages. Whitesands and Newgale are expansive sandy surfing beaches and Abereiddy is famous for the Blue Lagoon and cliff jumping competitions; coasteering is a popular sport here.

Porthgain famous for The Sloop pub and The Shed restaurant is 3 miles distant, Abereiddy 3½ miles, from which it is an easy walk to the secluded Traethllwyn beach. The Coast Path is renowned worldwide and the stretch from here to Porthgain is one of the loveliest.

This is the perfect base for ramblers, cyclists, swimmers, birdwatchers and coastal adventurers, or just getting away from it all!
